WHAT'S NEXT

WorkingNation is excited to continue our mission of telling stories about what is being done across the county to create a robust workforce and ensure everyone has an opportunity to be a part of it. Here is a message from our founder and CEO Art Bilger about what we have in store for you in the coming months.

MILKEN CENTER FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE AMERICAN DREAM

WorkingNation has partnered with the Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream to develop and produce a series of videos. Focusing initially on financial literacy, we will also tell stories about female workers and what employment opportunities exist during and after COVID-19. All series will tell how the American Dream is attainable if people understand the economy, know how to manage their finances, and have an entrepreneurial mindset.

FUTUREPROOF COLLEGE TOUR

You've watched FutureProof here in this magazine. Soon we will be taking it—vitually—to colleges, sharing the message of solutions to the skills gap with young people around the country.

U.S. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOUNDATION

This fall, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation will release Talent Finance, an initiative designed to create a new public-private approach to expanding economic opportunity for all. WorkingNation has partnered on this initiative to make sure that a broad, inclusive audience joins the movement.

CENTER FOR WORKFORCE INCLUSION

We have partnered with the Center for Workforce Inclusion to produce a series of thought-provoking discussions on the obstacles facing underserved job seekers, particularly those living in low-income communities, as they attempt to reenter the workforce.

Our Editor-in-Chief Ramona Schindelheim will conduct the interviews, examining these obstacles from the full prism – workforce development, social justice, labor economics, technology, aging, and national policy.

INQUIRE WITHIN: DIGITAL MAGAZINE ON VETERANS AND WORK

This November, WorkingNation will be creating a digital magazine focused on veterans and employment. This group has been hit especially hard since the health and economic pandemic began. All donations towards telling these stories will be matched 100% by the Clint Eastwood Family Foundation for the second year in a row.

ASU+GSV Virtual Summit

Our partners at ASU-GSV are taking their annual conference virtual from September 29 through October 1. WorkingNation will be doing interviews with key participants for our series #WorkingNationOverheard.

In their words: It's the dawn of the age of digital learning, and we all need to imagine a new era where ALL people have access to oppoprtunities in the future.
